France Demonstrates Ideals of Liberal Socialism

(Reuters) People walk past as a homeless person takes cover from the cold on a Paris sidewalk November 28, 2005, as six homeless have died in France since the arrival of winter temperatures. Ah the socialistic ideal that is France. But I thought liberal politics would take care of the “disadvantaged?” Once again, those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones:

“Katrina’s devastation points the finger at Bush’s system. ... Issues forgotten for years are back to the fore: poverty, the state’s absence, latent racism.”
