Japan Trimming Fat From Government

Two things of note here to me:
A.) Funny how Prime Minister Junichiro used his political capital to reduce the bloated bureaucracy of his government, not increase it.
B.) I think that the “does not affect Japan’s Self Defense Forces” portion is important and directly related to China’s increased aggressiveness and growing military.
