Newest Horror Movie: The News!

While there are real-world events going on (China, Iran, Iraq, Darfur, Bush, Dean, Sheehan, McCain, Clinton, etc...) the mainstream media seems obsessed with ensuring that we the people are on constant alert for the next natural disaster, kidnapped family member, or serial killer.

This lack of real news gives us a very limited prospective of sensationalized issues, that in my opinion, are meant to keep us addicted to the news channel to see what next horror will befall us.

Irregular Joe has done a post (its where I got the graphic) on this. He has an obsession with "Scarborough Country" (the MSNBC News Magazine), but this post has a good insight into the "news".
