Now that Bush has failed his symbolic duty to “lead” the nation during times of crisis (something no one else seems to be capable of either), the left and the media have a new meal ticket.

However, about 10 days ago, all we could talk about was Cindy Sheehan. For those that not only believed in her campaign, but also in her; think to check back on her in about a month. The liberal political activist organizations that were funding and coordinating her efforts will now shift focus over to the ramifications of Katrina.

Used up and spent, Cindy Sheehan will still be without a son, protesting the war, protesting her country, and completely forgotten by everyone. Those organizations that exploited her will not distance themselves, seeing the opportunity for attention and fund raising gone.

But the Left really “cares” about the troops and their families.
