Right and Left, Step Aside Please, New Jersey Citizens Have Something To Say
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - For the first time, two independent gubernatorial candidates have qualified to participate in televised debates. The two major party candidates agreed to join Jeffrey Pawlowski and Hector Castillo next month. The men each have raised and spent more than $300,000.
I’m not from New Jersey, but if these two guys can do it, why can’t we get at least one creditable and vote-worthy third party candidate in our Presidential elections? The only time we see them are when some billionaire uses his own money (Ross Perot, way to right), or a bunch of environmentalists pool their cash together (Ralph Nader, way to left). How about someone right around the middle? A McCain maybe?
